One-on-One Suggestions:
  • Read Devotionals or Sunday School Lesson
  • Fellowship visit - sit and talk
  • Watch TV- favorite show or game show

  • Watch a movie, eat popcorn

  • Play Cards - War, Go Fish, Simple Games

  • Play Wii (if facility has the game available)

  • Help assist resident's participation in an activity

  • Help residents with hobbies

  • Host a Sing-Along

  • Deliver ice to the residents

  • Make a bulletin board

 

Group Suggestions:
  • Prepare a group Sunday School lesson
  • Host a Bingo game

  • Host a Birthday or Holiday Party

  • Make gift bags for special occasions

  • Weekly, biweekly or once a month Sing-Alongs
  • Create a Red Hat Social for residents
 


Party Suggestions

  • There are many residents that have special dietary needs, therefore, it is always a good idea to run the food list by the Activities Director for approval.   
  • Many residents are diabetic, so take a few sugar free treats to let the residents know you cared enough to plan for them.
  • Avoid any type of food the resident could easily get choked on - like hard candy or any type of nuts.
